There’s a really good reason to join the waitlist if these dates don’t work.
The price is going up next time we run the programme, but I’ll hold the price of £995+VAT for anyone on the waitlist for any VTTT programmes in 2025!
Stop delivering one-way info downloads, or running workshops just how you would if they were in-person.
Start getting ready to deliver memorable, high quality workshops your participants want and need!
You’re new to delivering training online and it feels like a steep learning curve.
You’ve struggled with people who’ve not engaged or switched off.
You’ve not had lots of experience participating in or running interactive online training, and don’t really know what ‘good’ looks like.
You’ve got nobody to practise with, or steer you in the right direction.
But if you don’t have an L&D background, you can get stuck and overwhelmed.
Imagine taking your expertise, building and delivering workshops so impactful that it opens the door to more opportunities
Imagine making a real tangible difference, being known for your results and being in high demand from your clients, or referred to others
Imagine generating repeat business or new revenue streams and stopping the endless chase for new clients
L&D professionals: Training might be a core part of your role. But do you know best practise for Virtual delivery? Or have you had to learn as you go with no real guidance.
HR generalists: You’ve got to deal with everything to do with people. And I bet that includes running Virtual Training on a whole heap of topics. If your ‘go to’ is a bumper slide deck and info download, it just won’t work!
Subject Matter Experts: You might need to run Virtual Training on anything from systems to processes. The danger is, without a clear structure and interactive delivery, participants may not put it into practise.
Imagine having a simple approach to create your training, which takes away the guess work
Imagine feeling confident to use a range of tools and techniques to keep participants engaged and learning
Imagine participants making the changes you need instead of just turning up with cameras off, whilst they catch up on emails
When I first started in L&D around 30 years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined a World where Virtual Training was so accessible.
But, when I started, I realised very quickly that only delivering sessions the way I’d run them in-person just wasn’t working.
I spent months attending hundreds of online training workshops myself, experimenting, honing and getting feedback until I figured out what really works with Virtual design and delivery.

Hi, I’m Katy, an L&D specialist with 30 years’ experience.
I’ve worked in-house as a senior L&D business partner in a range of organisations including: Compare the Market, Nationwide Building Society, Thomas Cook, Eurocamp Travel and Alton Towers.
I’ve designed and delivered hundreds of workshops, programmes and events both in-person and virtually including:
Management and Leadership development
Train the Trainer
Team Development
Collaboration and Influence
Coaching skills
I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. Made mistakes and learnt so much about getting interaction, commitment, engagement and results.
And I’ve distilled that down into an easy to understand, easy to apply system which I’m sharing with you in full.
In 2020, I set up my development and coaching business Make Real Progress, where – along with the team – I consult, design and deliver impactful programmes and workshops for corporate clients across a range of sectors and industries.
I also work with Coaches, L&D and HR professionals to develop them to develop others, which is just what Virtual Train the Trainer is all about.
I’ve run VTTT for a range of companies, and now I’m offering it up as an open programme for individuals to join!
"The course was delivered in a way that I would want to replicate myself. Katy's delivery was very professional, friendly, and her knowledge of the subject was excellent. The course has been an excellent use of my time as it was exactly the type of training I need to help improve my day-to-day activities as a trainer, i.e. designing and delivering courses”
"The content was exactly what we were looking for and was most definitely a great use of our time. It has made us sit back & consider what we can do differently to effectively engage all participants. The tools we've been shown have hugely increased my confidence levels. It was good to be put out of our comfort zone and try out what we had learned in a safe environment. Thank you so much Katy. 10/10 :)”
"Absolutely the best use of time to be able to focus on the delivery and content of our existing training. Very thought provoking, we should be able to critique existing material. Thank you Katy it really has been the best training I've encountered. So thought provoking in a very positive way.”
"Found the course to be really helpful having not received any training previously. The tools we were shown are tools we will easily be able to add to our training. After participating in the course it has made me aware of how much I could improve and so I perhaps overstated my original assessment of my skill level. I am definitely better equipped and more confident though than I was prior to the course! Delivery was great, Katy you explained well, included everyone and gave us some excellent ideas. Also upbeat and smiling always.”
"My skill level has increased as I've learnt new skills to become a better virtual trainer, however my confidence levels will increase when I am able to practice more. I feel really confident with the tech I have tried today but will need more practice to embrace some of the other ideas I want to try. I have no doubt we have the range of skillset within the Team to deliver all of your ideas in some way shape of form.”
"Katy has so much energy and enthusiasm and genuine interest in your learning that it is hard for you not to be more confident! She’s a great trainer and I even learnt bits from her that weren't part of the course"
"Katy has an amazing style and using fab content and is always so generous with what she shares."
"I'd been delivering training and workshops for a few years and seemed to get good feedback. In my head I might have only needed an hour maximum with Katy.
Well, I am pleased to say I got it wrong! I learnt how I could make the existing things I did even better in addition to learning a bunch of new skills like: how I can really easily and quickly identify what content to put in, how I can make sessions engaging no matter the participants … I learnt soooo much from this programme!
I’m incredibly grateful for the tools and insights Katy has shared, which have been pivotal to my business growth. Katy’s L&D expertise is clear at every stage and she has a remarkable way of making you feel at ease."
"Katy’s course was invaluable in helping me improve my workshops, without spending days overthinking. Katy is a joy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. I’ve subsequently used all the tools and techniques, all highly relevant to my work. The follow up support really helps cement the learning"
"Katy is extremely approachable, and her energy and passion for her work is infectious. She injects humour when appropriate to make learning fun and joyful. Her programme was well designed and delivered, providing the opportunity for experiential learning as we were encouraged to apply learning to our own work projects, adding meaning and depth. I now feel more confident in approaching workshop design and making the learning fun and impactful for participants."
"Katy - you are a born trainer... You bring everything to life and bring out the importance of all the areas we need to cover, but in a fun and practical way..."
"I think this course is great, just what I needed. It has really helped me to gain confidence in my ability to develop courses and to know that I am on the right track with what I am doing. This course contains many 'aha' moments and nuggets of great advice."

It’s highly experiential. You’ll start building your own virtual workshop step-by-step, and experience the interaction and engagement through the way I deliver.
You get hands on and practise, giving the tools and techniques a road test.
We follow up the programme with plenty of support, both 1-1 and in groups, so you’re confident and raring to go.
We start with your onboarding. I’ll get to know more about you, your current experience and confidence levels and what you want to get from the programme.
1) Module 1: Design. Sharing a step-by-step process to build brilliant training, along with genius activity cards to speed along your ideas.
2) Module 2: Delivery. We don’t just ‘talk’ about great delivery, I role model it! I’ll be sharing what I’m doing and why as we go through. Plenty of tips and techniques to make your delivery Zing!

5) Personalised 1-1 support. You’ll get an hour with me after your practise session and we can cover whatever it is that YOU need. More in depth feedback? Help creating a QR code? Setting up a poll? Building your first whole programme? Creating workbooks? It’s your time to get what you need.
6) Monthly drop-in sessions. I know that questions and challenges might crop up at any time, so you also get access to at least 4 Monthly Drop-In sessions for collaboration, ideas and Q&A
On what a great Virtual Training session looks like and how to create your own
To craft and apply outcomes, structure, activities, timings and flow

The monthly drop-in sessions are usually on Fridays, mid month at 12pm UK time (there are some occasional changes)
There are 4 sessions, each 3 hours long. As they are all live taught and interactive, you’ll need to be able to attend the sessions live.
Your 1-1 is for 1 hour, scheduled at a mutually convenient date / time, within 1 month of the live sessions ending.

Absolutely! We’ve already supported Coaches, HR professionals and Subject Matter Experts, who all want to deliver training workshops and programmes for various reasons.
We take you through step by step, so no previous L&D knowledge or experience is required.
Maybe! It depends on your experience and confidence in designing and delivering Virtually.
If you regularly deliver Virtual workshops, are confident in doing so, have high levels of interaction and get great results – then it’s probably not for you.
If you’re used to delivering in person and not Virtually, or want to build confidence and toolkit for Virtual delivery, then it may be just what you need!
Pop me an email to katy@makerealprogress.co.uk if you want to have a quick chat to check.
The standard price is £1495 + VAT. As this is the first time VTTT has been run for individuals, we’re offering a whopping £500 off the standard price for the first programme.
The special offer price is £995+VAT Pay in Full, or 5 x monthly instalments of £199 + VAT
The total cost is the same, whichever way you choose to pay.
Sure thing. Pop me an email to katy@makerealprogress.co.uk and I’ll get that set up.
I’ll need: Company name, address, name and email address for the invoice and a Purchase Order number if your company requires it.
*Please note, we only accept Pay in Full for invoices. Your place is only confirmed when we receive either the Purchase Order, or the payment in full.
Absolutely! You have an hour 1-1 with me, and you can use that time to focus on anything that you want. (As long as it’s to do with Virtual Training or Learning & Development … I’m not doing your accounts for you!)
Our focus will be on practical tools and methods. Whilst I’ve drawn on learning theory to create it, we’re not covering it here.
The reason being, so many people choose to take L&D qualifications to learn how to train – and end up knowing a lot but not able to put it into practise.
You’ll be missed! I know that diary management is a challenge. I’ll be releasing the next round of dates very soon.
Join the waitlist here and I’ll hold the current offer price of £995+VAT if you join a VTTT programme in 2025.
No! We deliberately keep it practical and step by step.
If you’re brand new into the World of L&D, joining our monthly drop-in sessions will really help expand your knowledge too.
Once you’ve started the development, refunds aren’t available if you change your mind or your circumstances. Instead, I’ll grant you access to our self-led learning programme Build it Quickly.
However, we have a money-back guarantee if you work through the programme, implement our processes, attend the 1-1 and monthly drop-in sessions for support and still don't feel you can create and deliver your Virtual workshop!
