Ready to speed it up?

Build it Quickly (BIQ) is a unique programme for Coaches, L&D and HR professionals who run training workshops for corporate clients

Are you:

Frustrated at the time it’s taking you to build a workshop?

Unsure where to start?

Worried that it’s not making the impact it could?

Concerned that it might be a little … dull?

You’re not alone. It’s why I created this programme.

Why do you need BIQ in your life?

  • How to consult with stakeholders so you uncover what’s really needed

  • How to consult with stakeholders so you uncover what’s really needed

  • You want your workshops to make an impact

  • You want to ditch the overwhelm

In just 2 hours, you’ll find out exactly how to do this with my unique, step by step method.

In less than 2 days, you’ll have transformed your expertise into a brilliant workshop, knowing that it’ll hit the mark.

This isn’t about running webinars, or info downloads, it’s about creating impactful learning that

gets results.

Stop wasting your time and energy taking the long route, second guessing and procrastinating.

Start getting ready to deliver the workshops your clients want and need!

Does any of this sound familiar?

You’ve been spending weeks procrastinating over your notes and slides. Tweaking words. Adding more content. Second guessing whether it’s good enough.

You’ve maybe run a few workshops, but they haven’t had the impact or change you or the client wanted.

You’ve struggled with people who’ve not engaged or switched off.

You’ve not had lots of L&D experience or training, and don’t really know what ‘good’ looks like.

You’re spending so long trying to figure it out by yourself and you’re ready to speed it up and make a change

If any of those sound like you, you’re in the right place

How BIQ helps if you’re self employed

Coaches: Workshops are ideal for you to showcase your skills outside of a 1-1 conversation and you’ll impact more people, more broadly!

HR professionals: Workshops help you proactively support your clients to prevent some of their biggest people challenges; high turnover, low engagement, grievances

But if you don’t have an L&D background, you can get stuck and overwhelmed.

  • Imagine taking your expertise and creating workshops so impactful that it opens the door to more opportunities

  • Imagine making a real tangible difference, being known for your results and being in high demand from your clients, or referred to others

  • Imagine generating repeat business or new revenue streams and stopping the endless chase for new clients

  • Imagine taking Fridays off to get balance back into your business, with the time you’ve saved using my step-by-step strategy and resources

"The programme's format was perfect and the content touched on everything that I needed. I loved that I could practically build a session as I was going through, and I was able to use this just a week later. I’m incredibly grateful for the tools and insights Katy has shared, which have been pivotal to my business growth. Katy’s expertise is clear at every stage and she has a remarkable way of making you feel at ease."

Merrisha Gordon

Leadership Coach & Organisational Consultant

"BIQ was invaluable in helping me improve my workshops, without spending days overthinking. Katy is a joy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. I’ve subsequently used all the tools and techniques, all highly relevant to my work. The follow up support really helps cement the learning"

Emily Potts

Founder & Leadership Coach

"I would recommend BIQ to other coaches and facilitators. It’s excellent value in terms of time, cost and impact. I now feel more confident in approaching the design and making the learning fun and impactful for participants. I feel more empowered to lead and challenge my stakeholders and manage their expectations."

Rebecca Lewis

Leadership & Team Coach

How BIQ helps if you work in-house

L&D professionals: Designing training might be a core part of your role. But do you know best practise? Or have you had to learn as you go with no real guidance?

HR generalists: You’ve got to deal with everything to do with people. And I bet that includes running workshops on a whole heap of topics. If your ‘go to’ is a bumper slide deck and info download, it just won’t work!

  • Imagine having a tried and tested way to consult with your stakeholders to understand real needs and offer alternatives if training isn’t the best solution

  • Imagine speeding up the time it takes, so you’re not working evenings and weekends to catch up

  • Imagine participants making the changes you need instead of just turning up and going through the motions

"Katy - you are a born trainer... You bring everything to life and bring out the importance of all the areas we need to cover, but in a fun and practical way..."

Sinéad Dartnell

Head of HR

"I think this course is great, just what I needed. It has really helped me to gain confidence in my ability to develop courses and to know that I am on the right track with what I am doing. This course contains many 'aha' moments and nuggets of great advice."

Jessie Morris

People & Culture Business Partner

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It's certainly set the standard for how I want my own workshop, built well but also quickly!"

Kirsty Jordan

Head of HR

Let’s ditch the overwhelm for good

  • You don’t need to be an L&D expert

  • You don’t need to create hours of content

  • You don’t even need slides

You just need to have knowledge about your topic.

So long as you have that, I’ll guide you through the rest.

Your workshop is just a few hours away from being created!

I’ve done the work, so you don’t have to!

When I first started in L&D around 30 years ago, I thought workshops were all about the content.

I packed in as much as I could.

I thought it would give value to the participants and ultimately the business.

It didn’t.

I also thought that running workshops and programmes on whatever I was asked by my (senior) stakeholders was my job.

It wasn’t.

It led to wasted time, budget and resources. But at that stage in my career, I didn’t know how to consult or challenge positively and constructively.

This is what DOES work

  • Asking the right questions before assuming workshops are the solution

  • Knowing the alternatives if they’re not

  • Having a rinse and repeat process that works for any training topic

  • Reducing the content and increasing context, activities, discussion and reviews

  • Behavioural psychology principles to improve retention and application on the job

When you nail these, the results keep coming.

Your transformational treasure chest

The core of BIQ is a step-by-step process to take you from before you start your build, through to after it finishes – which you can use time and time again.

You’ll be guided through this with 20 bite-size videos (they’re all between 3 and 13 minutes!) with an accompanying PDF workbook.

You get a set of genius cards that give a ton of ideas to inject real learning and progress into your sessions

You’ll build brilliance at every stage with the A.S.K. M.E. consulting framework and the Big CAR design structure

You’ll get access to our monthly drop-in sessions for ideas, collaboration and support.

This treasure chest gives you:

  • Clarity: Consult with stakeholders, understand participants and know what great L&D looks like

  • Consistency: Learn exactly how to craft and apply outcomes, structure, timings and flow

  • Creativity: Engage participants with a unique blend of activities, discussions and visual techniques

  • Confidence: Trust that you’ll be way more likely to get the changes that participants want and the business needs

BIQ is more than a toolkit, it’s an injection of L&D expertise in record breaking time, without breaking a sweat.

Why you can be confident that I can help

Hi, I’m Katy, an L&D specialist with 30 years’ experience.

I’ve worked in-house as a senior L&D business partner in a range of organisations including: Compare the Market, Nationwide Building Society, Thomas Cook, Eurocamp Travel and Alton Towers.

I’ve designed and delivered hundreds of workshops, programmes and events including:

Management and Leadership development

Team development

Train the trainer

Facilitation skills

Influence and Impact

Coaching skills

Talent development programmes

I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. Made mistakes and learnt so much about getting interaction, commitment, engagement and results.

And I’ve distilled that down into an easy to understand, easy to apply system which I’m sharing with you in full.

In 2020, I set up my development and coaching business Make Real Progress, where – along with the team – I consult, design and deliver impactful programmes and workshops for corporate clients across a range of sectors and industries.

"I signed up for Katy’s BIQ programme because I wanted some new ideas for workshops I deliver. The virtual programme is packed with great tips and ideas, all in an easy-to-follow format. If you follow the instructions, you can build yourself a brilliant workshop by the end of the course. I’ve also benefitted greatly with some 1-1 time with Katy. She’s been so helpful and friendly to work with, as well as hugely knowledgeable. I highly recommend working with her"

Lucy Chaplin

Leadership Coach

"I think this course is great! Just what I needed. It has really helped me gain confidence in my ability to develop courses and to know I’m on the right track. BIQ contains many ‘aha’ moments and nuggets of great advice. I like that I now have a structure to follow which helps me filter out the ‘noise’ and procrastination"

Lisa Brandwood

HR / L&D Consultant

"Just a great course for both new and more experienced facilitators. Katy has an amazing style and using fab content and is always so generous with what she shares."

Libby Williams

Executive Coach & Facilitator

Watch the super quick video to find out why Jacqui wished that she’d met me a couple of years ago!

BIQ is for you if …

  • You’re tired of how long it takes to build a workshop

  • You want to improve the quality and results of your workshops

  • You want clients to keep coming back to you

  • You want to open the door for your other services

  • You want to fast track your L&D know how

  • You’re a Coach, HR or L&D professional

  • You’re self-employed or work in-house

BIQ might not be for you if …

  • You don’t have experience in the topic of your workshop

  • You’re not prepared to re-think how you build workshops

  • You want to build webinars or presentations rather than interactive learning workshops

  • You’re not working with corporate clients and don’t plan to

  • You’re a highly experienced L&D professional

Let’s chat first about that last point! I promise it’s won’t be a sales pitch.

I’ll share more details about what’s covered and how, so you can make an informed choice.

Here’s what else Merrisha had to say after she experienced BIQ:

“I deliberated long and hard over whether or not I needed BIQ. After all I'd been delivering training and workshops for a few years and seemed to get good feedback. In my head I might have only needed an hour maximum with Katy.

Well, I am pleased to say I got it wrong! Everything on this programme was relevant to the work that I did. I learnt how I could make the existing things I did even better in addition to learning a bunch of new skills like: how I can really easily and quickly identify what content to put in, how to easily find content, how I can make sessions engaging no matter the participants, how to uplevel my worksheets … I learnt soooo much from this programme!"

Merrisha Gordon

Leadership Coach & Organisational Consultant

Where will the Programme run?

All of the videos and resources are hosted on our learning hub, which you get access to as soon as you buy the programme.

The monthly drop-in sessions are all on Zoom. Usually on Fridays, mid month at 12pm UK time (there are some occasional changes).

How long is the Programme?

The videos will take less than 2 hours in total to watch. Each one is between 3 and 13 minutes.

You’ll get ongoing access to the monthly drop-in sessions.

How long do I get access to the Programme?

You’ll get ‘lifetime access’ which means for the lifetime of the product.

Should I discontinue use of the Learning Hub, I’ll give you 3 months’ notice, and transfer content to a shared drive where you’ll be able to continue access.

Should I discontinue the monthly drop-in sessions, I’ll give you 3 months’ notice. However, I guarantee that you’ll have access to at least 4 sessions (except in unforeseen exceptional circumstances).

I'm a coach - is this suitable for me?

Absolutely! We’ve helped many coaches who are fab at 1-1 and want to deliver workshops as an invaluable addition to their services.

How much does it cost?

£595+VAT Pay in Full, or 5 x monthly instalments of £119 + VAT

The total cost is the same, whichever way you choose to pay.

However, if you Pay in Full, you get a bonus 45-minute Masterclass on Creating Interaction on Virtual Workshops.

Can you invoice my company?

Sure thing. Pop me an email to katy@makerealprogress.co.uk and I’ll get that set up.

I’ll need: Company name, address, name and email address for the invoice and a Purchase Order number if your company requires it.

You’ll get access to BIQ when payment is received.

Will you give personalised feedback or support?

To keep the price as low as possible, 1-1 support isn’t included. However, you have three options if that’s what you need:

1) You can join the monthly drop-in session for ideas and support

2) You can buy 1-1 coaching for focussed and personalised support

3) You can opt to join our Live facilitated Virtual Train the Trainer programme which includes 1-1 support

For option 2, pop an email to katy@makerealprogress.co.uk for more info.

Is this a Train the Trainer programme?

Our focus is on building the workshop rather than delivering it. However, you have three options if this is what you’re looking for:

1) You can join the monthly drop-in session for ideas and support

2) You get a bonus 45-minute pre-recorded Masterclass on Creating Interaction on Virtual Workshops as a bonus when you Pay in Full for BIQ

3) You can opt to join our Live facilitated Virtual Train the Trainer programme which includes: Design, Virtual Delivery, Practise, Feedback and a 1-1

Do I need any previous L&D knowledge?

No! We deliberately keep it practical and step-by-step.

If you’re brand new into the world of L&D, joining our monthly collaboration sessions will really help expand your knowledge too.

Do you offer refunds?

Once you’ve accessed the learning content and started the development, refunds aren’t available if you change your mind.

However, we have a money-back guarantee if you work through the programme, implement our processes, attend drop-in sessions and still don't feel you can create your workshop!

Got other questions I haven’t covered? Just pop me an email and I’ll come back to you!
